02 Why us

The truck in your driveway and the crew on your stairs answer to us

When you book Redmond Movers, the rig parked outside is ours, the contract is ours, and the people walking your sofa down a daylight-basement staircase draw a Redmond Movers paycheck. Nobody hands your job to a stranger. A broker works the other direction: it auctions the move to the lowest weekly bidder and disappears once you have signed.

Redmond Movers
  • Our own fleet, run by full-time background-checked movers — never day labor pulled off a job board
  • What we write down is what you pay — one flat rate, signed and held to the dollar
  • A single crew from the first box on the truck to the last box in the new place
  • Household-goods authority from Washington (WUTC), USDOT/MC on the books for interstate runs, and every single job backed by full insurance
  • One Redmond office and one point of contact, your first call through to the last box carried in
What a broker does
  • Resells your move to whatever outfit happens to bid lowest that week
  • Lets the price climb on the morning of the move with fees nobody mentioned
  • Hands your whole household to a crew you have never once spoken to
  • Stays fuzzy about whose insurance actually pays when something gets cracked
  • Drops a call center between you and whoever finally turns up to do the loading
03 How we quote

Flat rate.
On paper.
No meter.

First we walk your real inventory, then we write one binding figure down before a wheel turns — there is no hourly clock ticking away in the background. Whatever that sheet says is the whole bill, and that is the end of it.

Get my free moving quote

Fixed, never on a clock

a walkthrough or video estimate sets your rate, and from there it does not move

No surprise lines

no fuel tack-on, no stair or freight-elevator fee, no last-minute “heavy item” charge

One crew, both ends

the Redmond Movers crew that loads the truck is the crew that unloads it at your new door

04 Keeping your move safe

We treat your belongings the way we would want ours treated

Pads, stretch film, and floor runners ride on every truck, ready to wrap furniture, keep the wet off hardwood, and cushion the breakables — whether the job is a Sammamish plateau new-build, a split-level with a stair-heavy daylight basement, or a downtown Bellevue high-rise condo with a freight elevator to book.

Quilted pads

Dressers, tables, and headboards each get padded in place — that wrapping happens long before any of it starts moving toward the door.

Stretch film

Drawers stay shut and upholstery stays dry — wrapped tight against the PNW drizzle on the walk to the truck and the damp in the trailer all the way to your door.

Floor & doorway guards

Before the first box ever leaves the floor, we lay the runners, wrap the rails, and pad the jambs — that way your tile, railings, and trim look the same at quitting time as they did at sunrise.

Built-to-fit crating

For mirrors, glass tabletops, framed art, and flat screens, a crate gets built around each piece on the spot, measured corner to corner so the fit is exact.

Break-down & rebuild

The bulky stuff — bed frames, dining tables, sectionals — gets broken down for the ride, then we put it back together after it crosses the threshold of your new place.

Straps, dollies & gear

Whether it is a freight-elevator tower, a pinched condo hallway, or the single heaviest piece in the house, the right tie-downs and rigging come out — nothing about our truck gets shortchanged.

05 How it works
1

Send us the basics

Both ZIP codes, your move date, and the size of the home — a minute of your time, no charge.

2

Get it in writing

We walk your real inventory and lock the whole thing into one binding flat rate.

3

The crew rolls up on time

Uniformed, background-checked, and stocked with runners and shrink wrap for whatever the PNW sky is doing that morning.

4

Settled, as quoted

We load, we drive, we set every room back up — and the final bill matches the number you signed.

On the road out of Redmond and across the Eastside

The crew at your curb is on our payroll, not a subcontractor's

Every truck out there belongs to us and every one is staffed by full-time Redmond Movers crew, so a single set of hands runs your Redmond move from the first box to the last.

“I had a great move with Tyler, Cole, Garrett, and Brian. They moved several large items from the house and also my massive toolbox from the garage. It was too big for the truck assembled, so they expertly handled it in 5 pieces instead, and helped me get it into 2 pieces at the destination. Professional, hard working, and quick. They were excellent!”

09 Our coverage

Rooted in Redmond, on the road to every pocket of the the Seattle Eastside

10 Good to know

What Eastside movers usually ask first

Are you a moving company?
Yes — we are an Eastside Seattle mover that holds Washington WUTC plus USDOT/MC authority, fully licensed and insured, rolling our own trucks with our own uniformed crews aboard. Redmond Movers owns the fleet and keeps the crews on our payroll — nothing brokered out, nobody subcontracted.
How is a move priced?
We begin with a short walkthrough or a video estimate, then turn your real inventory into a single flat rate written on paper — nothing metered in the background. The figure on that sheet is the entire price, with nothing buried below it.
How far ahead should I book the date?
On the Eastside the lease-cycle and corporate-transfer crowd snap up weekends and month-ends fast, so two to three weeks of lead time is the safe call. Midweek and mid-month dates hold open longer, and whenever a crew has a gap we are glad to take same-day and last-minute jobs too.
What kinds of moves do you take on?
Everything from local jobs around Redmond and across the Eastside to long hauls out of Redmond down I-5 or over the pass on I-90 to any state in the country. Pianos, gun safes, antiques — the awkward, high-stakes pieces are something we handle too.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — Redmond Movers holds Washington (WUTC) household-goods authority, USDOT/MC for interstate work, and full cargo and liability coverage. If a tower or HOA needs a certificate of insurance, just say so and a same-day COI is almost always on its way.
Can you handle a downtown Bellevue high-rise or apartment building?
Every week. Freight elevators in the Bellevue and Kirkland towers, building COIs, dock windows, and long stair carries in older split-levels are all routine for our crews — tell us the building and we line up access well before move day.
Have a piano, a safe, or another awkward piece?
No problem — uprights, baby grands, and full grands are routine, and the crew shows up with the boards, straps, and stair rigging the piece needs. Gun safes, antiques, and oversized art get the same careful handling.
Will you pack and supply the boxes as well?
Of course — choose a full pack and we box the entire house, or a partial and we cover only the rooms with breakables. Boxes, paper, and tape all ride in on our truck.
